Beside the main page which describes my impressions of Tokyo back in 1999, there are further pictures from other places that I visited in the following years. While I believe that the pictures are quite self-explanatory, it might be worth to note for someone who is not so familiar with the landscape here, that pictures taken in Niigata and Sendai as well as pictures from Hokkaido come from northern Japan where temperatures – especially in the mountains – can fall below zero and which regions have frequently snow in winter.
This is unlikely to happen in southern parts, such as Kyushu and Okinawa, which is the reason why those regions show pictures from beaches etc.
Other shoots include the former capitals Nara and Kyoto on mainland Japan (so-called Honshu-Island); and there are of course further pictures from several weekend travels to the Tokyo nearby areas (such as the peninsula Chiba and Izu or Mt. Fuji and the city of Kawagoe north of Tokyo).
Beside two updates that I did in 2002 and 2004, there is also a short report from the soccer worldcup 2002 (Japan/Korea) with some pictures from me, my wife and a friend at the Shizuoka Stadium (Germany beat Cameroon 2:0).
